What Apple's rear camera repair estimate covers
Included
- A cracked or shattered rear camera lens cover
- A rear camera module that will not focus, or produces blurred or spotted images
- A genuine Apple camera module fitted by an Apple-authorised technician
Not included
- The front-facing camera, which Apple prices under other damage
- Rear glass outside the camera housing, which falls under back glass replacement
- Applicable taxes, which are added on top of the figure shown
Rear camera damage is often mistaken for back glass damage. If the crack sits inside the raised camera housing it is a camera repair; if it sits on the flat rear panel it is a back glass replacement. An Apple technician confirms which applies before the final price is set.
